In Myungri-hak (the study of destiny and its way of operation), people’s fortunes are divided into Decade of Luck, Year of Luck, Month of Luck, and Day of Luck.<\/strong> Decade of Luck changes every ten years, Year of Luck every year, and so on. In other words, Decade of Luck is the flow of luck that enters one’s fortune in large increments, and the rest are smaller flows. We usually look at our saju script (saju literally means “four pillars*” consisting of your birth year, month, date, and time), and pick up the flow of luck that we are currently in. In order to know which Decade of Luck I am in, I would first need to know when my Decade of Luck begins and the direction of its flow (whether it is the direction of the flow or its reverse) which depend on my yeonju (birth year pillar), wolju (month pillar), and gender. No matter how great the car’s performance is, its speed and stability will vary depending on whether the road is paved or not. Of course, if the car itself has excellent performance, it can pass over unpaved roads, perhaps even through mountainous terrain. Likewise, If the saju is good, it is less likely to be fazed by the luck of the environment.\n\nOn the contrary, if it were an old car with poor performance, it is more likely to be affected by the road conditions. Even if you were driving it on the highway, it would have a limit to speeding up, and if you step on the accelerator to the point where you exceed this limit, you should be prepared to risk accidents caused by the wind and brake performance.\n\nThe outcome of your saju<\/strong>, despite its susceptibility to the fate of the environment, can be somewhat altered according to your approach.<\/strong> If you regularly clean, inspect, and fix the car, there will be a big difference in its performance and life, even if it is an old one.\n\t❝
\nLikewise, if the saju is good, it is less likely to be fazed by the luck of the environment.

Being lucky means that things work out just like water flows, even if you do not try too hard.<\/strong>\u00a0The body and mind are naturally focused, creating good results and relationships. When you are lucky, you are not distracted, and your mind is not scattered. You enter a state in which you cannot be swayed to one side, or bothered by anything in particular. When you are lucky, there are no big problems.<\/p>\n

If certain parts of the body are unwell, it feels bothersome, whether it is a stabbing pain or heavy discomfort. When the body is healthy, it feels no particular stress in regards to sleeping, waking up, eating and living.\u00a0A healthy body brings good luck.<\/strong>\u00a0Which kind of healthy body is the luckiest? When it comes to skin, for example, when skin has moderate moisture, and is in a condition that is neither rough nor oily, it is good luck.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"\"\n\t

In addition, it is lucky to have a moderate satiety, neither too hungry nor full. It is unlucky to be in a situation where you have to eat more food when you are already satisfied, and it is also unlucky if you can’t eat or drink anything when hungry and thirsty.<\/p>\n

So being unlucky is a state of losing balance by being overly biased to one side.\u00a0<\/strong>If this imbalance persists, then bad luck continues. Luck also has inertia, so bad luck continues to flow badly and good luck continues to go on favorably.<\/p>\n

It is hard to go about our whole lives pondering, “what should we do to have a lucky state of mind?” and “what is luck and how can we see through the flow?”, or studying Myungri-hak in depth. If you live a busy life, you might stay immersed in your day-to-day tasks without reflecting on your path. Still, once a day or week, you can stop and ask yourself if your mind is in a lucky state.<\/p>\n

The idea that the many emotions of anger, disappointment, pain, resentment, excitement, joy, etc. naturally occur in response to external factors can be abandoned. Instead, take a more proactive attitude towards the feelings that you can actually decide for yourself.<\/p>\n

Recognizing that there is room for choice between external factors and personal feelings, if you practice you can find composure and maintain calm within your mind.<\/p>\n

This resilient composure is a lucky state of mind. It is peaceful, clear and calm.<\/strong>\u00a0Having composure is not wanting to live passively or surrendering. It is not easily disturbed, and its center remains sturdy. In communing with others, we can always choose to feel diverse emotions and sentiments.
